Gerco van den Brink is a young, energetic and ambitious professional with a high care for people, change management and a drive to make the most out of every opportunity. Throughout the past year he has worked as an consultant in for multinationals in multiple types of industries, from Food to Infra to Oil&Gas. After joining Shell in 2012, he has worked in Upstream Assets, Downstream facilities and has held positions in the Shell central organization. He is an experienced Maintenance, Reliability & Turnaround professional and SME in multiple Maintenance Management Systems and supporting IT tools. Due to his wide experiences in different sites and roles, he is able to speak all relevant languages from operations, maintenance, turnarounds and engineering, which allows him to quickly understand the needs or concerns of others and work efficiently together. Currently, Gerco is leading the Digital Transformation at the Shell Energy & Chemical Park Rotterdam, representing an estimated value of $20-30m annually. He is responsible for setting the long-term ambition and strategy for digitalization, leading the delivery of short- and medium-term value of $20-30m annually from digitalization and taking a leading role in the global network of digitalization in Shell’s Manufacturing business.
