Working 20 years within Vopak in various roles. The last 8 years in planning, developing and implementing the OT/IT and IoT architecture to integrate process automation systems, assets and sensors into the IT landscape. By standardizing the convergence of OT and IT, data silos and supplier vertical stacks can be avoided and data can be made available in a generic, understandable, cost-effective and fit-for-purpose. I advocate the philosophy of starting small and extend functionality and technology along the way.

The session will show the path that Vopak took and the challenges that needed to be tackled to move from the small initiative to integrate tank information to the high-end edge and cloud solution that is currently being rolled out and used on a global scale.
