Regional Sales Manager

DTN is at the center of the downstream oil and gas supply chain — managing more than 90% of the pricing and billing transaction interchange conducted in North America every day. Our focus is bringing upstream information and downstream intelligence together, so customers can optimize business decisions. The Regional Sales Manager – Energy. This position would cover the energy wholesale market and leverage the DTN product suite across Refined Fuels. This person will be working closely with existing sales team and building on their experience.

Essential Functions:
-Contacting large energy producers, energy supply chain providers, and refined fuel wholesalers to promote DTN energy information services and solutions
-Develop and maintain new accounts and existing customer relationships
-Use a consultative sales approach to understand the needs of the energy prospect or customer to demonstrate the value of the DTN products, insights, and services
-Engaging communication with active listening and problem solving for customers to understand their unmet needs and how DTN solutions may be of benefit and serve those needs
-Create presentations and solution proposals using Microsoft Power Point, and demonstrate products in person or via Web Meeting
-Manage a pipeline of new business as well as increase spend on existing customers
-Identify and communicate sales opportunities through use of CRM system
-Visiting prospective clients and existing customers in the assigned territory with approximate travel at 50% rate within assigned territory
-Customer responsive and service focused
-As part of a performance based team, the Regional Sales Manager will be required to meet or exceed sales plan

Requirements
-BS or MBA in Marketing, Business Management, or related field
-5-7 years of sales and territory management experience
-Software and Information as a Service sales experience is a plus
-Must be aggressive, self-motivated and able to work under pressure
-Demonstrated strengths in relationship building, problem solving, and solutions selling
-Self-starter with proven track record of delivering sales results
-Exceptional communication, interpersonal and leadership abilities
-Ability to work in a fast-paced, environment and handle multiple concurrent projects
-Knowledge of the energy industry is a plus
