Cspect is an engineering company based in the Port of Zeebrugge using ‘Remote Inspection Techniques’ to inspect your assets. We eliminate the use if divers for inspections below water and the use of staging, cranes, ladders, rope access or cherry pickers for close-up inspections and thickness measurements at height or depth.
To perform these ‘Remote Inspections’ we use Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROV) and our revolutionary ‘ALTUM telescopic pole systems’.
The ALTUM has been developed to easily perform inspections and actions at height or depth. The system is an ‘in-house’ development by Cspect and patent pending. It consists of different modules which can be attached on top of an ‘ultra-light’ telescopic pole of 24 meter. It is a safe, reliable and cost-effective solution to execute your general and detailed inspection and avoids expensive staging, rope access, cherry-pickers, ladders or other means. The system has the additional advantage, not to be bound to any rule or regulation.
The system has an easy set-up and It can be deployed for 12hours without battery stress.
The system can be carried as standard luggage/baggage on a plane. Our inspectors fly all over the world.
Following modules are currently available: The ALTUM with the VISUAL module to perform your Close-Up inspections and the ALTUM with the UTM module to perform your Ultrasonic Thickness Measurements (with grinding and hammering facility)
Secondly, we perform in-water surveys on ships, offshore structures and monopiles of wind turbines with mini ROVs which are highly versatile. Besides the normal visual inspections, they can perform:
1. Thickness measurements of steel structures;
2. Dimension checks;
3. Cathodic protection measurements / differential voltage measurements on structures;
4. Local cleaning by cavitation;
5. Marine growth thickness measurements;
6. Sonar inspections;
Importantly we can perform the inspection with the vessel on anchorage where the currents are too high for divers. On anchorage the visibility is mostly good. So, no more issues with visibility in harbours and rivers!
Our systems are easily portable and we can even travel by plane with all our equipment.
We are certified by the Classification Societies: Bureau Veritas (BV), American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), RINA, Lloyd’s Register (LR) and DNV to perform inspections on offshore structures and ships.
Our main office is near the Port of Zeebrugge, but we operate in Rotterdam, Hamburg, Le Havre, Dunkirk, Antwerpen, Gent, Terneuzen, Vlissingen, Amsterdam …..
We also fly to the location.
we carry out an average of 100 inspections per year on offshore structures/ships
