Laser scanners have been commercially available for several years. However recent developments with point cloud processing software have now made laser surveying an attractive method to capture site information quickly and accurately. A 3D laser survey can within minutes gather millions of measured data points that would otherwise take months to collect using traditional methods. 3D Laser surveys are not subject to the potential human errors that are associated with traditional measuring methods and safer, as it does not require us to be in contact with your equipment. The resulting ‘point cloud’ file can be processed to provide client with a three dimensional viewing file, allowing you to carry out a virtual tour, taking measurements as you move around your facility without having to leave your office.
