Stolthaven Terminals and Revivegen Environmental Technology Co Ltd have signed a letter of intent to jointly develop a new greenfield terminal in Kaohsiung Port, Taiwan.
Following Revivegen’s successful award of a land lease at the port, the two companies are currently working on a comprehensive feasibility study.
Stolthaven Terminal’s interest in the new joint venture is driven by growing customer demand for high-quality bulk liquid storage in the region.
A final investment decision is expected in the fourth quarter of 2021, subject to final internal and external approvals.
Guy Bessant, president Stolthaven Terminals commented: “The terminal will focus on the safe and efficient handling and storage of chemicals and industrial gases for local and multinational companies, including those with manufacturing operations in Taiwan.”
“A terminal in Taiwan would be complimentary to our existing global network and increase the reach of the supply chain solutions that we are able to offer our customers,” Bessant added.
