Essar Energy Transition (EET), the trading name of Essar Oil UK, is proud to announce that its Hydrogen Fuel Switching project has progressed to the front-end engineering design (FEED) stage. This pivotal phase marks a significant step forward in EET’s commitment to sustainable energy solutions.
Hydrogen for the project will be supplied by EET Hydrogen, the company’s hydrogen-ready combined heat and power (CHP) plant, set to be constructed at the Stanlow refinery. To execute this critical phase, EET Fuels has appointed Wood, a global leader in engineering and consultancy, to coordinate the final designs of the fuel system that will power the hydrogen-ready crude distiller furnace. Wood will also undertake the re-design of the core infrastructure and control systems, ensuring the efficient and safe combustion of hydrogen.
This project underscores EET’s dedication to advancing cleaner energy technologies and reducing carbon emissions, paving the way for a more sustainable future.
