Finnair and DB Schenker partner for sustainable air cargo

Finnair and DB Schenker have taken a significant step in their sustainability collaboration with an agreement for DB Schenker to purchase nearly 400 tonnes of Scope 3 CO₂e reductions, equivalent to 120 tonnes of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) from Finnair. Both companies are committed to driving the adoption of SAF to lower greenhouse gas emissions in air cargo transport.

Finnair’s approach to reducing emissions includes investing in sustainable aviation fuel beyond regulatory requirements, enhancing operational efficiency, optimising its network, and investing in the latest aircraft technology. Together, they are shaping the future of sustainable air cargo.
