NEO Energy Completes Merger with Repsol

NEO Energy and Repsol Resources UK have finalised their strategic merger to form NEO NEXT Energy, now one of the largest producers on the UK Continental Shelf. With a projected 2025 output of 130,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boe/d), the joint venture, NEO UK 55% / Repsol E&P 45%, brings scale, resilience, and growth potential to the basin.

John Knight, Executive Chair of NEO NEXT, says the merger strengthens the company’s ability to deliver “Resilience, Yield and Growth,” creating long-term value for shareholders.

Francisco Gea of Repsol adds that the collaboration will combine both firms’ strengths for “profitable growth in the basin and beyond.”
