Veramaris & Merwetank Partner To Strengthen Algae Oil Supply Chain

Veramaris has partnered with Merwetank B.V. to construct a bulk algae oil storage tank in Dordrecht, near Rotterdam, Netherlands. Set to be operational from mid-Q4 2025, the facility will significantly enhance supply security and logistics efficiency for Veramaris customers.

The new tank will improve supply security for its customers in Europe by allowing more Veramaris algae oil to be shipped in bulk—alongside other high-volume raw materials—directly to coastal aquafeed factories, reducing costs, complexity, and carbon emissions.

Merwetank, a specialist in food-grade bulk logistics, will operate the tank, which includes advanced features to preserve product quality and integrity.
