L&T Wins Order for Hydrocarbon Onshore Business

L&T’s Hydrocarbon Onshore business (L&T Onshore) has secured a major contract from Petronet LNG, a joint venture backed by four prominent public sector undertakings—Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL), GAIL (India), and Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL).

The contract will be executed on a lump-sum turnkey basis and covers the complete scope of engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning. The project involves the development of a 170,000 cubic metre double-wall LNG/ethane storage tank and a 140,000 cubic metre double-wall propane storage tank at the Dahej Petrochemical Complex in Gujarat. In addition, the scope includes associated ethane and propane handling and dispatch systems to support downstream propane dehydrogenation and polypropylene production facilities.
