Fuqon has developed a real-time quality system: the Q\Platform.

The Q\Platform is a platform that is revolutionary in the downstream activities: an in-line monitoring system that measures the quality of fuel during transhipment real-time and continuously.

The Q\Platform is suitable for all conventional and future fuels, classifies the passing products and detects contamination with other products or water.

The Q\Platform can run a variety of applications to help detect incidents. It can contribute to identify real-time contamination, can monitor interfaces during line displacement and supports hardware integrity.

In addition, a closed sampling system can be added which guarantees sampling is not harmful for operators or the environment. A representative sample can be taken by the Q\Platform at detection of any irregularity.

The Q\platform is based on sensor technology and is ATEX and IECEx certified.

The Q\Platform ensures safety, sustainability, and cost-effective operations.

If you could fly to any country tomorrow, where would you go and why?

To visit Malaysia to gain an understanding of biofuel production and its operational challenges.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

One should never be afraid to make mistakes, as they foster growth and enable more mature decision-making over time.

What’s one thing you’re really passionate about outside of work?

Traveling, meeting people from different cultures, and understanding what drives them and what makes them happy in life.

If you could switch lives with someone for a day, who would it be?

To meet the prime minister of the Netherlands to understand the information on which decisions are based.

What’s an industry trend or innovation that you’re excited about?

Digitalization and AI.
