Hose-Pull has outlined the benefits of its hose-handling system, which uses Mecanum-style omnidirectional wheels to allow hoses to move freely in any direction across a wide range of surfaces without manual dragging or repositioning.
According to CEO Xavier Pineaud, the aim is to reduce the physical strain on operators while also extending hose life by minimising friction, which is a major cause of wear.
Originally designed for firefighting, the system is now being used in a range of sectors including industrial tank cleaning, fluid transfer, oil and gas, hydro-excavation, truck unloading, wine-making, aeronautics and cement works.
The product is available in three standard cradle sizes — 70 mm, 75 mm and 110 mm — with adapters for smaller hose diameters and bespoke options for larger sizes up to 8 ft, allowing users to integrate it with existing equipment fleets.
Hose-Pull said its system is now deployed in more than 30 countries and that it is continuing to grow its international distributor network.
