Project Manager at HMT

The Role

The Project Manager role is essential in ensuring successful project planning and execution at HMT. This person must be located in the Netherlands and will serve as a liaison between HMT and the customer by planning, directing, and coordinating the designated project to ensure that goals and objectives of projects are accomplished within the established time frame and budget parameters. This role, reporting to Operations Manager, serves as the primary point of contact and central hub for communication for all technical and commercial aspects of a project.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, direct, and coordinate project activities, including specification review, budgeting, proposals, and resource allocation.
Understand project scope and customer needs, and communicate requirements to HMT teams (Engineering, Procurement, Production, Field, and Management).
Serve as the key liaison between HMT and customers, building strong relationships and ensuring clear communication.
Troubleshoot issues related to schedules, performance, and scope with customers and site teams.
Oversee job setup, project cost control, and timely invoicing to maintain positive cash flow.
Identify scope changes and inform relevant teams and customers.
Negotiate change order costs with clients.
Manage rental equipment, supplies, and subcontract agreements.
Ensure adherence to HMT protocols and administrative policies.

We're looking for a candidate with:

University degree preferred
4+ years of project management experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project)
Strong English skills
Experience in industrial environments (terminals, refineries) a plus
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
Strong customer service and analytical skills
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
