Control Room Realisation HES International

At HES International, the control room is essential for monitoring and controlling logistics operations 24/7. The existing system no longer provided the flexibility and efficiency required to support growing operational demands. This posed a risk to the continuity of goods flows and to day-to-day collaboration between operators.

HES International therefore decided to fully modernize the control room in collaboration with INTER. The selected solution is Barco OpSpace, which allows operators to flexibly combine and arrange multiple sources on a single screen. As a result, physical changes to cabling are no longer required, and virtual sources can now be integrated into the workspace.

Prior to implementation, the new workstations were tested in INTER’s Experience Center to ensure the solution aligned with the realities of a 24/7 operational environment. The upgraded control room provides greater operational flexibility, enabling operators to easily take over tasks from colleagues by switching visual sources to other workstations. In addition, a dedicated training workstation is being introduced to support the onboarding of new employees and the testing and optimization of processes, without impacting live operations.
