On-stream Repair

Some equipment has previously required shut down prior to welding. It can be because the equipment contains pressure, dangerous content such as hydrocarbons or both these at the same time. In Effee we use extensive qualification techniques involving modelling, laboratory testing, 1:1 testing to ensure integrity in these critical welding operations. The robot ensures a handshake between the simulations and reality reproducing the exact same result as the simulations – first in the lab and then on the asset.

The approach has been welcomed on HC containing tanks, pressurized piping and in FPSO internal hull, below the waterline.
