PGLC

 At the end of June, the StocExpo & Tank Storage team visited sunny Marseille for the PGLC, Petrochemical Global Logistics Convention. This is a new international conference dedicated to the Petrochemical logistics community that creates a regular forum for Producers, Suppliers and Traders of Petrochemical products globally.

PGLC prides itself as a conference with a key focus on networking amongst industry professionals. The conference hosted numerous sessions. Experts in the Terminal Panel discussed pressing matters facing the terminal industry such as the different regulations and the energy transition. The port panel had a different perspective on these matters and further discussed the effects of IMO2020. The conference on day 1 ended with a pitch contest with 13 start-ups, pitching their products and innovative solutions. Day 2 hosted keynote speakers from SNCF, LyondellBasel and Total as well as a logistics panel.

 Another important reason to visit PGLC is an extensive networking programme. With a vineyard tour in the Provence, a networking lunch and party overlooking the old port of Marseille, PGLC sure lives up to their slogan ‘you shake hands, make friends and do business.’
