Mr. Curl’s early career involved the development and sales of residential housing subdivisions and in multi-family residential and commercial real estate. He has over ten years’ experience in these areas. He later transitioned to the construction industry, and for many years owned and operated a general construction business. For the past seventeen years, Mr. Curl has been in the environmental and marine services industry. He founded Global Environmental & Marine Services, a limited liability company that provided wastewater treatment and solid waste removal services for ships and barges in the Port of Corpus Christi, in 2005. He served as its president until the company was eventually acquired by Nature Environmental & Marine Services, whose ownership invited him to stay on in the capacity of its Chief Executive Officer.
During this time, he worked with major ocean-going vessel owners and managers in major ports along the Texas Gulf. He next co-founded Redfish Barge and Fleeting Services and currently serves as its managing partner. Mr. Curl has extensive experience working with federal regulatory agencies, including the U.S. Coast Guard, US Department of Agriculture, US Department of Transportation, US Department of Energy, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, and the Texas General Land Office. As such, his expertise in environmental and regulatory are invaluable in crafting GERS’s strategic plans for future business pursuits.
