After graduating as Industrial Engineer Biochemistry, Karine started her career within the operations department of a tank terminal in the Harbour of Antwerp. She rapidly developed a profound knowledge of operational safety and excellence. For several years she has been active as HSSE Manager at one of the leading tank terminals in the Port of Antwerp. During this period, she has led the company safely through several expansion projects, doubling the storage capacity. Afterwards she has taken the position of Assets & Operations Manager. In this role, she successfully has introduced operational excellence and operational agility into the operational processes resulting into a considerable increase of the performance.
Today Karine is active as Transformation Manager where she is guiding LBC Tank Terminals towards the Terminal of the Future.
