Karel works at the IT-department of North Sea Port as a Digital Transformation Manager. He holds an Civil Engineering degree from the KU Leuven and strives to continuously develop himself in the fields of innovation, digital transformation and change management.

He joined the company 6 years ago as an asset manager, with a focus on the implementation of asset management processes in the operations of the organisation. Recently, his focus shifted towards the digital transformation challenges of the company with a focus on the translation of the needs of the business, and by extension the entire port community, into digital solutions.

As part of the new strategic focus of the company, Karel is jointly responsible for the development of a data community in the North Sea Port area.
