Started as commercial manager at Zeeland Seaports more than 12.5 years ago, after working as Senior Manager in the shipping industry for 23 years. Zeeland Seaports merged to North Sea Port in 2018, covering the port areas of Vlissingen, Terneuzen and Ghent.

Training in Commercial Economics, Port Management, Real Estate, Project Management, Shipping and Transport. Responsibilities at North Sea Port include the dynamic and fast growing Offshore (wind) and renewables segment, such as development of hydrogen, Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS), Biogas, residual heat exchange and other sustainable energy projects.

The last 12 years North Sea Port developed into a market leader and strong cluster of companies in the offshore wind industry and the next decade will change the liquid bulk and energy market completely, with the development of a hydrogen and CCS network, as well as other renewable energy sources and carriers.
