CB&I, together with Shell International Exploration and Production Inc. (a subsidiary of Shell plc), GenH2, and the University of Houston, has announced the completion of a first-of-its-kind, large-scale liquid hydrogen (LH2) storage tank concept at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) in Huntsville, Alabama. Designed to support international import and export applications, the concept presents a significant step forward in affordable hydrogen infrastructure.
“This collaboration with a world-class project team is paving the way for low-cost, large-scale liquid hydrogen storage,” said Mark Butts, President & CEO of CB&I. “We are proud to apply our six decades of expertise in cryogenic insulation and storage to support the evolving needs of the energy transition.
