Major Milestone for U.S. LNG: Sempra & EQT Sign 20-Year Deal

Sempra Infrastructure has signed a 20-year sales and purchase agreement with EQT for 2 million tonnes per annum of LNG offtake from the Port Arthur LNG Phase 2 project in Texas. This agreement highlights growing global demand for U.S. LNG and strengthens the country’s role in energy security and export leadership.

With all major permits secured and previous long-term deals signed with JERA and ConocoPhillips, Phase 2 could double Port Arthur’s total capacity to 26 Mtpa. A final investment decision is expected in 2025.

A major milestone for the LNG sector and a significant development for storage and terminal infrastructure.
