An extraordinary general meeting (EGM) of Royal Vopak has passed a resolution to appoint Dick Richelle as a member of the executive board for four years from 1 January 2022.

His term will last until the close of the first general meeting to be held in 2026. Vopak first announced in October that Richelle, a member of Vopak’s strategic committee, would succeed Eelco Hoekstra as chairman of the executive board and CEO from 1 January 2022. Hoekstra has stepped down following 11 years as chairman, after accepting an offer to become a member of the executive board of Dutch trading company SHV.
