Terminal simulation
Quantify capacity. De-risk investment. Optimize performance. Modern terminals operate under variability: fluctuating vessel arrivals, weather disruptions, constrained berth windows, labor limitations, and storage dynamics. Spreadsheets and static schedules cannot capture this complexity. Our discrete-event simulation models replicate the real operational behavior of your terminal — vessels, berths, pumps, tanks, trucks, rail, and weather constraints — allowing you to test decisions before committing capital. What we solve True Capacity Analysis We determine realistic throughput under variability, including service-level impacts and waiting times — not theoretical maxima. Berth & Resource Optimization Evaluate alternative berth configurations, pump rates, or product/customer allocations to unlock hidden capacity. Investment Validation Test business cases for new berths, tank expansions, or layout redesign. We translate operational scenarios into financially defensible outcomes. Risk & Service-Level Assessment Quantify demurrage exposure, berth occupancy, utilization rates, and congestion risks under probabilistic conditions. Scenario & Stress Testing Peak season demand, new customer contracts, vessel mix shifts, labor rules, or weather sensitivity — each scenario is tested in a controlled digital environment. Our approach We combine structured data intake, model calibration against historical KPIs, scenario workshops, statistically robust experimentation, and executive-ready reporting. The result is a validated digital twin that supports strategic and operational decisions. The impact Clients typically achieve reduced waiting times, improved berth utilization, smarter capital allocation, and stronger commercial positioning. If you are considering expansion, automation, or simply want to understand whether your terminal operates at its true potential, simulation provides clarity before commitment. Let’s test your assumptions — before the market does.

The Altum - Ulta Light UTM module
he ALTUM Ultra Light UTM module is an attachable ultrasonic thickness measurement (UTM) sensor designed to work with Cspect’s ALTUM telescopic inspection pole system. It enables non-destructive testing (NDT) by performing ultrasonic thickness checks on steel and other metal surfaces without sending inspectors up scaffolding or into confined spaces. The module is lightweight and intended for use by a single operator, and when mounted atop the extendable pole it can reach areas up to around 18–20 m high while delivering accurate thickness readings remotely. This approach removes many traditional access challenges and safety risks associated with rope access, drones, ladders or cherry pickers. When used on piperacks, the ALTUM Ultra Light UTM module is part of a combined inspection workflow: visual inspection of piperack structures and pipe surfaces is done first (often with a visual camera module), and then, where required by regulation or where damage/corrosion is suspected, the UTM module is deployed to measure wall thickness on the bottom, sides and top of non-insulated pipes. This strategy helps identify corrosion at supports, penetrations or other critical points without scaffolding or rope access, delivering a total inspection solution for piperack integrity checks.
