Why do you think celebrating young talent in the industry is important?

What has been your biggest challenge to date?

Joining this industry without any kind of technical background was a huge challenge! But through connecting with my peers in the industry, interviewing different terminal managers, operators and engineers, I’ve been able to build up a picture of how tanks work and how important they are to our every day lives!

What is your plan / goals for the future?

I’d love to keep shouting about this industry, making people aware of its existence and just how critical it is.

What advice do you have to pass on to the next generation?

Don’t allow work to become your whole personality! Make sure you have other passions so that you can still think creatively in your job. There is so much more to life than the 9-5.

If you could fly to any country tomorrow, where would you go and why? 

Japan! I went a few years ago and would love to spend another couple of weeks there doing no sightseeing and instead just immersing myself in the food and culture.
